Introduction to the use of business software to collect and organize data to make better decisions. Students will use spreadsheets and databases to analyze data and generate reports and visualizations to solve problems. Topics will address: What makes good data? Can we trust the data for business decisions? Students will use advanced functions to analyze and chart financial data and then recommend a course of action. Students will use PivotTables as a tool to summarize and manage data along with performing multiple what-if analyses. Students will build relational databases and create queries, forms and reports for business intelligence. This is a hands-on course in which reports will be generated from multiple sources to highlight actionable insights for data-driven decision making.
